Such a tease.

He wrote a song once about the good Love and the good Wine, and then
He sang it with so great a sound it covered the entire globe.
"Jacob have I loved," and Esau, too;
His voice lending the weight of heaven to the earthen glory, sometimes shame,
to which these two things will sometime lead.

I want to document, mark down, keep Them on file,
prepare for next arrivals (if such things can be known).
I make my inner house into a home so that,
when They arrive,
There are the tiniest of tokens already bearing witness,
Nods to past visits called up to form the Bridge from
What's happened Before to what's happening, now, Between.

As for Love, well -
I want to give it my favorite seat,
Make it comfortable in my red slippers,
Pull the corners of the blanket down around its shoulders
when it gets cold.
